| | Description: The reserve is situated inside the Yaxhá Nakum Naranjo National Park, bordering the beautiful Yaxhá Lagoon and inside the Maya Biosphere Reserve. With 407 acres, the reserve is intended for the conservation of the forest and its natural resources, and at the same time it supports scientific research into flora and fauna in the region. Services: Camping inside the private natural reserve (you need previous authorization for camping); El Sombrero eco-hotel which is beside the Yaxhá Lagoon at the entrance of the National Park, offers lodging and restaurant service. Access: The same access described in Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo National Park; once you are in the National Park you can access the Reserve by car through the neighboring farms, or taking a boat across Yaxhá Lagoon from El Sombrero or the National Park.
