This destination specifically includes the departments of 1. Baja Verapaz and 2. Alta Verapaz.

There are seven destinations in this route, only one of which is located in the warm lowlands: Hun Nal Ye, where we recommend you to bring light clothing, fresh water, insect repellent and a hat. The other destinations are located in the Cloud Forest area where the weather is temperate, but can turn cold on some occasions; rains are frequent, so a rain jacket and warm clothing are indispensable.
