The travel guide ?Bird Watching Guatemala? was created for all who enjoy birdwatching, with the intention of aiding the professional and amateur birdwatchers in the country, as well as contributing to familiarize the visitor with the destinations included in this first edition. Hopefully also enriching the knowledge of birds of the region will also be forthcoming. The destinations in this guide are distributed among five routes following the main highways of the country, with Guatemala City as the starting point.

Guatemala opens its doors to birdwatchers and all tourists that enjoy nature and culture to come and enjoy this beautiful country through its birds. This is a country where cultural richness, history, archaeology, diverse fauna and flora form a unique mosaic in the world.
